Two members of the Quilt Divas, Anne Garretson and Barbara Behrmann, each have 2 pieces in the State of the Art Gallery’s Annual Juried Show. The gallery is located in Ithaca, NY, but because of the pandemic, the show is virtual this year. This change has made it possible to include artists from around the country. The Gallery received over 300 images from 114 artists, of which 95 images from 62 artists made it into the final show. The work encompasses everything from fiber arts to watercolors, acrylics, charcoal, photography, pastels, mixed-media and more, from both new and established artists. Rockscape #2 by Anne Garretson won the prestigious Best in Show Award and Autumn Harvest by Barbara Behrmann was selected to promote the exhibit. In making her award decisions, judge Kathrine Page, guest curator of the Delaware Contemporary Art Museum, considered composition, color, mood, technical rendering, creativity with material, concept and overall presentation.  Visit https://www.soagithaca.org/ to view the whole show.
